Gaia - A Legendary Soul

It’s interesting to me that most people don’t think of our planet as a living spirit, but rather a massive floating object with enormous life producing abilities floating in a distant spiral of the Milky Way Galaxy.
We believe animals, humans, even plants/trees have a spirit, yet the idea of our great life provider having a “soul” and being a sentient being seems a bit radical. Perhaps it starts to make sense with more thought and common sense! Growing up never learned of our planet being a living soul either, but there’s our nonsensical societal conditioning again!
Her name in spiritual traditions and in Greek Mythology is “Gaia”. What a beautiful name that resonates with life and love and grounded energy!
She volunteered to be our life provider and to weather all the cycles of birth and destruction here on Earth. She has tremendous patience, wisdom, and compassion for her inhabitants. She is here to provide us with all we need to experience life abundantly, joyfully, healthfully, and happily.
It can be excruciating to witness the destruction of life on our planet. From the current furious fires in the Amazon created by human greed to produce more impatiently, to the intoxication of our water systems through irresponsible production/disposal of energy, products that poison all life and the food we eat, to the genetically modified production of food that damages our hormones and even our ability to produce life. I can’t imagine how “she” must feel having to bear these atrocities, honoring our free will and holding on as long as she can to keep the equilibrium in a distorted environment.
Just as a child brings his mother joy, encouragement, appreciation, love -we too can alleviate some of her pain and assuage her, sooth her in the trials and tribulations she must face at every moment. She is aware of all the creatures and feels our intent, our graciousness, our respect, our love.
Time is of the Essence
Sometimes she must shift, shake, rattle to clear built-up toxins and negative energy to create balance. Of course, she is capable of resetting herself into harmony at any given time, but she knows this will cause massive destruction to life and humanity. I believe she knows that we will find new ways of creating energy, waste management, food production that are in alignment with the values of respecting life sooner rather than later out of necessity.
The ideas/new processes teachonologies are already floating through the consciousness of scientists, engineers, and active minds looking for a solution to the travesty we have caused on our planet, impacting all biology. Many countries have already adopted systems that are in better alignment with this necessary objective. However, we need to move rapidly and in unity as a planet, realizing what one does affects the other, and time is of the essence. Yes, that includes the big felons- The U.S.A and China!
